There are many variations of this pattern, originally called   "Apricot Leaf ".........I first came across it 40 years ago as a full size cot/pram blanket that I knitted for a family member who had just had a new baby........so when a friend of mine asked if I had any ideas for a bed cover for 1940`s dollhouse,  I went into hiding with my hoards of patterns and emerged the other side with that very same pattern from way back............a quick read through and a few useful calculations and here we have it......a 1" or 1:12 scale bed cover.....I had to design the border myself as the original did not have any kind of frill or edging......and I had to make it look different from the other similar scaled versions in the market.......... but I feel I have achievied this and I have managed to incorporate more detail.
This took a long time, as each leaf pattern is made up from 4 smaller diamond shaped pieces......I would class myself as a very expeienced knitter having been knitting for 50 years now, and this tested all my abilities......when I sit back and admire it I can truthfully say......it WAS worth it......and my friend????...... well she was so thrilled she couldn`t stop thanking me for weeks...........!
